Hi, I’m Alex.
I research aquaculture and fisheries, and how fish (and other aquatic animals) can be used to enhance global food and nutrition security. I dream of a world where humans can coexist with life below water, enhancing human wellbeing while avoiding irreversible impacts on our terrestrial world.
I’m currently working as a researcher while chipping away at a PhD. I have an MSc in Sustainable Aquaculture from the University of Stirling and a BSc in Earth Systems (Ocean Science) from Stanford University. I’m based in Scotland, but am lucky to be able to travel to the world’s most beautiful places with my research.
As I believe in inclusive science, I have developed this blog to communicate my research.
